Add a store to a site
Open the Store tab, connect Stripe, and your site grows a product page, a cart and an order page.
Needs Particle · 10 minutes
Before you start
- A site on nertia, on a Particle or Wave plan. Any layout works; the store pages are added to whatever you have.
- A Stripe account, or the details to make one: legal name, bank account, business address. Stripe asks for them, not nertia.
- You are the site's owner. Managers see the Store tab but cannot connect Stripe.
If you are starting from nothing, pick a store template first. It builds a site with a shop section and sample products, then come back here.
1. Open the Store tab
Open your site and pick Store from the section tabs. Before anything is connected the tab holds one card: Connect Stripe to sell on this site. Payments go straight to your Stripe account. nertia takes no cut.
On Zero-Point the card is replaced by the move to Particle. The store is part of that plan.

2. Connect Stripe
Press Connect Stripe. nertia sends you to Stripe to create or sign in to an account, then brings you back. The whole flow is in Connect Stripe.
When you return the card reads Ready and the Store settings card appears below it. If Stripe still wants something, it reads Setup not finished with a Continue setup button.

3. See what the store added
Connecting creates three pages on the site's draft, each kept out of the nav:
| Page | Address | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Product | /product/{handle} | One product: gallery, description, variant picker, Add to cart |
| Cart | /cart | The lines, quantities, subtotal and Checkout |
| Order | /order/{id} | The receipt the shopper lands on after paying |
The header also gains a cart control, and the Add to cart buttons on a product grid start putting lines in the cart. Nothing else on the site moves.
If a page of yours already uses /product, /cart or /order as its address, rename it first. The store refuses to take over a page you made.

4. Publish
The three pages exist on the draft. Press Publish on the editor's top bar and they go live with the rest of the site. Products are different: they are live the moment you save them, no publish needed.
Done
The site has a store, connected to your Stripe account, with its pages published. Next: set shipping and tax, then add products.
Problems
- The Store tab shows a plan card instead of Connect Stripe. The site's owner is on Zero-Point. The store comes with Particle.
- Connect Stripe says "Stripe is not set up for stores yet." Live stores open in a later phase; until then every store runs in Stripe test mode. See Go live checklist.
- The store refuses to open because a page slug is taken. One of your pages is at
/product,/cartor/order. Rename it under Pages in the editor and connect again.
